Why is Push Chocolate so expensive?
Great question! We get it, our chocolate is a little more expensive than other plant-based chocolate.
We use an allergen free factory, which has stringent controls to produce and pack the chocolate so they can guarantee no contamination of the 14 major food allergens.
We only want to give you the best taste experience without the nasties. That means sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, that are sustainably sourced.
We know you care about protecting our planet, so our chocolate is packed in plastic-free, recyclable pouches with recyclable packaging throughout.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to the UK and internationally.
How long will it take for me to receive my chocolate?
We aim, wherever possible, to dispatch orders the next working day with your order arriving within 2-4 working days by Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Need it sooner? Upgrade to Royal Mail 1st Class in the checkout.
How much does delivery cost?
Post and packaging is free for all UK orders of £25 and above.
See the above table for full delivery costs.
What is in Push Chocolate?
Are my dietary requirements suitable for Push Chocolate?
We cannot offer dietary advice. Please consult your dietician. We can tell you that all our chocolate is 100% vegan, dairy-free and free from all 14 major food allergens.
The 14 major food allergens are: celery, cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites (if the sulphur dioxide and sulphites are at a concentration of more than ten parts per million) and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
Our chocolate is free of refined sugar, apart from Honeycomb which contains glucose syrup to create the honeycomb pieces to top the chocolate. The rest of the chocolate is sweetened with panela, an unrefined sugar from Colombia.
The low sugar does not contain any panela sugar.
Our ingredients do contain rice and split pea (in the form of pea protein isolate) so our chocolate is not suitable for people with rice and/or legume allergens.
I have a nut allergy can I still enjoy Push Chocolate?
Absolutely! Not only is our chocolate free from all 14 major food allergens the chocolate is made in an allergen-free factory so none of the 14 major food allergens are handled while making and packing the chocolate.
What are the ingredients of the chocolate?
The ingredients are Cocoa Butter, Pea Protein Isolate and Brown Rice Protein, Unrefined Panela Cane Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Inulin (from Chicory Root Fibre), Rice Powder (Dried Rice Syrup, Rice Starch, Rice Flour), Emulsifier: Sunflower Lecithin.
The Orange or Mint flavours contain an orange or mint oil. The Salted Caramel contain a caramel oil along with some sea salt.
The Honeycomb topping is made from Sugar, Glucose Syrup and Bicarbonate of Soda (as a raising agent).
The Low Sugar contains no Unrefined Panela Cane Sugar.
How have you sweetened the Low Sugar Chocolate?
We do not use any artificial sweeteners, polyols from sugar alcohols (such as, erythritol, xylitol, maltitol), nor stevia. Instead, it’s sweetened with inulin from the chicory root. Inulin is already in our other chocolate sweetened with panela to help reduce the sugar content.
Why does your chocolate contain an emulsifier (sunflower lecithin)?
Emulsifiers are used in chocolate to help bind the ingredients together.
Sunflower lecithin is used as our emulsifier because, unlike soy lecithin, it is naturally extracted (mechanically) from sunflower seeds without using any chemicals in the process. In addition, sunflower lecithin is not derived from GMO sources and means people who are allergic to soy can enjoy our chocolate!
Less than 1% of the total ingredients in our chocolate is sunflower lecithin, however, sunflower lecithin does have some health benefits, when supplemented.
Push Chocolate and the Planet
Is your chocolate slavery-free and where do you source your cocoa from?
Yes, our chocolate is slavery-free.
Our cocoa is bought from rainforest alliance certified cacao growers in Peru where the local farmers receive a fair income and are incentivised to follow a sustainable model. This helps our chocolate to be as sustainable as possible.
Is your packaging plastic-free and recyclable?
Yes, our pouches are plastic-free and recyclable.
Once you have finished with the pouch, please dispose it with the paper / cardboard recycling. Our cardboard boxes, packaging tape, acid-free tissue paper and stickers are also fully recyclable.
